A light stick can be a lovely way to celebrate your favourite group, whether it joins you at a show or lives on a shelf at home. It is also a bigger purchase than many small fan gifts, so it is worth getting the exact model right.
You do not need one to enjoy a concert or be a proper fan. Go because you love the music. The light stick is an optional extra.
Start with the group, then the edition
Check the full product name, including the version number. Different editions can have different instructions, accessories and event support. The newest model is not automatically necessary for every show, and an older model is not automatically supported either.
Before buying for a particular concert, read the artist or organiser's current light-stick notice for that date. Look for supported models, the official app if one is required, and any setup deadline. Do not rely on an old fan video for a different tour.
A real example: ATEEZ Official Light Stick Ver.3
The ATEEZ Official Light Stick Ver.3 was in stock when checked on 10 September 2026. It comes with the light stick, wrist strap, deco sticker sheet, eight-member photocard set, instruction manual and retail packaging. It measures approximately 12 × 10 × 25 cm.
It uses three AAA alkaline batteries. You will need to buy these separately. We do not sell batteries, so have a fresh set ready before your first test or concert.
ATEEZ has an official Ver.3 application user manual. Follow that model's instructions for app setup. The existence of an app does not promise concert synchronisation at every venue: event-specific artist and organiser instructions still decide what to do.
Read the contents, not just the photograph
- Does the listing actually say light stick, rather than cover, parts or cradle?
- Which strap, cards or other items are included?
- What power source does this exact model require, and is it supplied?
- Is the pictured stand or accessory included or sold separately?
- Does the selected variant match the model you want?
Do not infer authenticity from a similar shape or logo alone. Read the individual product's official or fan-made description. The ATEEZ light stick above is an official product. Check each item individually, especially when choosing accessories.
Set it up before leaving home
- Read the enclosed manual and inspect the contents.
- Fit the correct batteries in the stated orientation, following the model's instructions. Never force the battery holder.
- Test the basic light function.
- If required, install the official app linked by the artist or manufacturer. Avoid guessing between similarly named apps.
- Follow official instructions for firmware, pairing or seat registration where the event requires them. Complete this with time to spare and a charged phone.
- Check the event rules about bringing it in, spare batteries and any permitted decorations.
Do not assume that connecting by Bluetooth at home means the concert setup is finished. Equally, do not invent a seat-registration step for an event that does not ask for one.
Covers, cradles and accessories are separate purchases
The KATSEYE Beautiful Chaos Official Light Stick Cover is a useful example. It is a cover for the matching KATSEYE light stick, and the light stick is not included. It suits an existing owner, not someone expecting their first complete light stick.
A cradle is not the light stick itself, and “cradle” does not automatically mean charger. Parts and decorative covers also need exact-model compatibility. Never assume a Ver.2 accessory fits Ver.3 because both belong to the same group.
Keep decorations clear of controls, vents and anything the manual says must remain unobstructed. Check whether the venue allows added accessories.
After the show: a little care helps
Follow your model's storage instructions. The official ATEEZ Ver.3 guidance advises removing batteries and the battery socket when not in use. Store the item dry, away from direct heat and sunlight, and protect it from impact. Do not leave batteries inside for months and hope for the best.
